Position Summary The Project Manager oversees all phases of assigned construction projects from contract through closeout. This role manages budgets, schedules, subcontractors, client relationships, and project documentation to ensure successful delivery. The position works closely with senior management and preconstruction to implement best practices, monitor project financials, and maintain client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of project delivery, including buyout, budgeting, scheduling, cost tracking, and closeout.
Manage subcontractor and vendor contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
Oversee coordination with field staff, architects, engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth communication and execution.
Prepare and maintain project schedules and progress reports to ensure timely completion.
Review and validate project financials, budgets, and forecasts while maintaining positive cash flow.
Conduct Owner–Architect–Contractor (OAC) meetings, track milestones, and resolve issues proactively.
Ensure project compliance with contractual, quality, and safety standards.
Lead and mentor project team members, promoting collaboration and accountability.
Support continuous improvement of project management systems and procedures.
Represent the company professionally with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to foster lasting partnerships.
Requirements
Qualifications
3–5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager overseeing $500K+ commercial projects.
Strong understanding of construction means and methods, contracts, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam, and scheduling tools (Procore a plus).
Strong analytical and financial management skills with the ability to track and forecast costs.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to lead meetings and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
Proven leadership in managing priorities, teams, and complex project lifecycles.
Experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel nationally and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Must pass a drug test and criminal background check.
Education
Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Construction Management;
Associate's degree in the same fields with 3 years as a Project Engineer.
