Description
Job PurposeThe US Real Assets Acquisitions (equity team) is responsible for sourcing, underwriting and closing real estate investments across the major MSAs in the United States. The position will focus on financial modeling and analysis, asset valuation, asset and market due diligence, assisting in the preparation of client recommendations and other special projects.
Key Accountabilities
• Analyze, research, and underwrite new acquisition opportunities
• Develop financial models and other analytical tools, perform property-level underwriting, prepare and maintain property cash flow projections
• Perform and review due diligence materials
• Assist with preparation of internal investment committee reports
• Interact with brokers, tenants, consultants, and joint venture partners
• Track market activities and develop in-depth knowledge on specific real estate markets, sectors, and investment strategies
• Prepare ad hoc analyses at the direction of the senior personnel
Qualifications
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
• Bachelor of arts, science, or Bachelor of Business Administration. Course work in economics, business administration, finance, accounting, urban planning, mathematics and real estate are all beneficial
Experience
• 2 to 5 years of related finance and real estate experience.
Knowledge and Skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Computer skills necessary to perform the job include a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and experience with Argus.
• 10%-20% travel may be required.
