The Newark, New Jersey or New York, New York offices of FBT Gibbons are seeking a senior Real Estate Associate

The Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice Group is a growing and diverse practice with a national footprint. Our attorneys practice in all areas of bankruptcy and insolvency law, with a focus on sophisticated corporate reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings and insolvency counseling, and related litigation. Clients include official committees of unsecured creditors and bondholders, debtors-in-possession, Chapter 11 and 7 trustees, secured creditors and lenders, indenture trustees, insurers, asset purchasers, lessors, and other significant creditors.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney handling complex lending transactions
- Significant experience with commercial real estate financing (preferably borrower side), including experience independently negotiating substantive provisions of loan agreements, guarantees and other loan documents
- Significant experience with negotiating purchase and sale agreements in connection with complex acquisitions and dispositions
- Experience with redevelopment work in New Jersey is a plus.
- Admission in New Jersey or New York
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $180,000 to $210,000, reflecting a variety of factors including experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, relevant experience, and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable employment laws.
Associates are also eligible for:
- Quarterly objective bonus
- Annual subjective bonus
