POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Full Time, 40 hours per week
Monday through Friday | First Shift
Location: District 2 Survey Unit, Norwich, CT
THE ROLE
Be part of a dynamic team of engineering professionals supporting design and construction projects across the state.
Learn to operate cutting-edge survey equipment including Total Stations, Digital Levels, and GPS receivers.
Gain hands-on experience in:
Topographic, construction, and boundary surveying
Land surveying methods and procedures
Field and office survey operations
Receive on-the-job training and mentorship to build your technical skills.
After one year, become eligible for promotion to Transportation Engineer Technician.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE
An Associate’s degree in engineering technology or construction technology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED
Possession of at least Level II certification in the Civil Engineering Technology-Transportation Program, Highway Construction Inspection or Highway Surveys from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) may be substituted for the General Experience.
Possession of at least Level II certification in the Certified Survey Technician Program of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (Office Track for computer operators and Field Track for instrument operators) may be substituted for the Associate’s degree requirement.
